Prohibited items

Binfinite is a marketplace for genuine, physical comic books. Every listing must be something the seller owns, has the right to sell, and describes honestly. This policy lists what may not be sold on Binfinite. It is part of our Terms of Service and the Seller Agreement.

Counterfeits and misrepresented copies

  • Counterfeit, bootleg, or pirated comics, and any unlicensed reproduction of a copyrighted work or a trademarked character, logo, or cover.

  • Reprints, facsimile editions, second printings, or later printings described or priced as a first printing or original edition.

  • Altered books presented as unaltered — for example restored, trimmed, recoloured, or re-covered copies whose restoration is not disclosed.

  • Forged or unverifiable signatures, sketches, or certificates of authenticity, and fake or tampered grading-company slabs or labels.

Stolen goods

  • Items that are stolen, obtained by fraud, or that the seller otherwise does not have the legal right to sell.

  • Items reported stolen from a store, distributor, library, or collector. We cooperate with law enforcement and rightful owners, and may preserve and share listing and account records with them.

Restricted and illegal items

  • Anything whose sale, possession, or shipment is illegal in the United States or in the buyer's or seller's state.

  • Material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, which we remove and report to the appropriate authorities.

  • Items that promote violence or hatred against people based on a protected characteristic, where the listing itself does so rather than describing a published comic.

  • Hazardous materials and anything that cannot lawfully be mailed — including weapons, ammunition, and drugs — whether listed on their own or bundled with a comic.

  • Anything that is not a comic book or comic-related collectible — digital codes, accounts, gift cards, services, or listings that exist only to move money.

Recalled goods

  • Products subject to a government or manufacturer safety recall — for example a recalled toy or premium packaged with a comic — unless the recall remedy has been applied and the listing says so.

How we enforce this policy

Anyone signed in to Binfinite can report a listing from the listing itself. Reports go to our moderation team, who may remove the listing, cancel and refund any open order for it, and restrict or close the seller's account. Listings that attract several reports from different people may be hidden automatically while we review them. Repeated or serious violations lead to permanent removal from Binfinite.

If you own a copyright or trademark and believe a listing infringes it, use our IP & copyright takedown process, which explains what a notice must contain.

Questions

Not sure whether something can be listed? Ask before you list: support@binfinite.io.

Safety & content concerns

Our full safety and content policy is being finalized and isn't published yet. Reaching us, however, works today — and that part doesn't wait on a document.

Report a safety or content concern

Email hello@binfinite.io. This inbox is monitored by a person. It helps to include a link to, or a description of, the listing, seller, or content involved.

Once the app is in your hands, the fastest route will be reporting a listing or a seller directly from the listing itself, and blocking a seller so their listings no longer reach you.

Emergencies

Binfinite is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
