IP & Copyright Takedown
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Binfinite respects the intellectual property of creators, publishers and other rights-holders, and we expect our sellers to do the same. Listing counterfeit, bootleg or unlicensed goods is prohibited — see our Prohibited Items Policy. If you believe a listing on Binfinite infringes your copyright or trademark, this page explains how to tell us.
Quick report from the app
If you have the Binfinite app, open the listing and choose Report this listing, then Infringes copyright / trademark. That sends the listing straight to our moderation team. A formal notice (below) is still the right route if you are a rights-holder or their agent and want a takedown under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Filing a copyright notice
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice of claimed infringement must be in writing and include all of the following:
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or, if several works are covered by one notice, a representative list).
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information for us to find it — the link to each Binfinite listing is best.
Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
A notice missing any of these may not be actionable. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Where to send it
Email your notice to support@binfinite.io with "IP takedown notice" in the subject line, or use the form below.
Designated agent: [DESIGNATED AGENT NAME, POSTAL ADDRESS AND PHONE — TBD, pending US Copyright Office registration]
This opens a message to support@binfinite.io in whatever email app you use, with the subject set and what you wrote already filled in — you still press send there. No email app? Send your notice to that address directly.
What happens next
When we receive a complete notice we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the listing, and we let the seller know it was removed and why, including a copy of the notice. If an open order exists for the listing, we may cancel and refund it.
Counter-notice for sellers
If your listing was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include:
Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the listing that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the listing was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Binfinite may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to restrain the alleged infringement, we may restore access to the item 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice. A removed listing is not reinstated as-is; restoring access means we let you list the item again.
Repeat infringers
Binfinite terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of sellers who are repeat infringers. A seller who has listings removed following valid notices on more than one occasion may lose selling privileges or have their account closed, and payouts tied to infringing sales may be withheld where permitted by law.
Trademark and other claims
The DMCA covers copyright only. For trademark infringement, counterfeit goods, or other intellectual-property claims, send the same information — who you are, what right you hold, which listings are affected and why — to support@binfinite.io, and we will review it under our Prohibited Items Policy and Terms of Service.
